The Chronicles of a Human Vacuum Cleaner

–Rationale–

As soon as we started researching on numerous existing stop-motion videos, we knew that the most common media to be used are clay, drawings and papers. Rather than the videos using those media, we found those which use humans as the media much more interesting and entertaining to watch. Why do people take stop-motion videos — why not just a video? The advantage of stop-motion is that it makes impossible possible. It has more rooms for creativity. Regarding these facts what we tried to achieve was looking at a human not as a human, but something else – a vacuum cleaner.

Combining visual, movements and sounds we succeeded in transforming a human into a vacuum cleaner. A hungry vacuum cleaner that moves on its own seeking for food when the owner is asleep. The story, sound effects and camera shots were all done to make the video entertaining as much as possible. Our aim on creating the video was to make the viewers smile while watching : )

well i found a stack of pretty cool stop motion videos so guys take a look on them. apparently anything is possible to be used but common ones are clay, papers (drawings/cut outs), sand, or shadow.

Transforming into a Burger

  

 

This is the stop-motion video we made during the class of Visual Communication. The video was taken under a theme “transformation”.

 In an attempt not to do something that everyone would think of, which could probably be biological transformation, the transforming process we chose was cooking. Cooking is a pure transforming process, through which raw ingredients turn into a plate of dish.
